Aspen Custom Trailers is looking for an experienced Loader Operator to join their Material Handling team at their production facility in Leduc, Alberta. The Material Handling team is key to the success of Aspen’s production, if the production staff don’t have or can’t find the material they need exactly when they need it, the entire process comes to a grinding halt.

Labourer, Trailer Completions

Aspen Custom Trailers is looking for a few more General Laborers to join our Trailer Completions team in Leduc, Alberta. The Completions team is responsible for blasting, painting and the assembly of all components at Aspen’s manufacturing facility in Leduc. This includes installing and testing the air, electrical and hydraulics systems, installing decking, mud flaps, conspicuity tape and instruction decals and getting the trailer ready for delivery to our customers.

The ideal candidate has experience working with trailers, overhead crane, forklift, and has an eye for detail. You must be able to follow both written and verbal instructions, read drawings, measure and perform calculations with precision and move material around safely. A strong work ethic, excellent attendance and meticulous organization are critical to your success.

Inside Sales Coordinator

The Aspen Trailer Sales Team is growing and we have an exciting new opportunity for an Inside Sales Coordinator role at our Leduc facility. The successful candidate will join our Sales team to deliver the highest level of customer service to both our internal and external customers.

Between responding to incoming sales inquiries, forwarding qualified leads to the team and conducting facility tours and trailer deliveries, your day will be fast paced! From assisting the Sales Manager with reporting, to supporting the Sales Team in the field and helping Sales Administration manage the orders through the manufacturing process, the Inside Sales Coordinator truly keeps the sales processes running smoothly.

You are either an up and comer in the industry, with an educational background in professional sales and a long term goal of managing a sales territory or you have years of territory management in a technical sales role and for your own reasons you would prefer to stick close to home and support the company’s sales efforts. Either way, you possess excellent organizational, computer and communication skills and have a natural ability to deliver excellent service and support to both the sales team and our customers.

If you’re interested in applying for this role, please consider the following basic qualifications:

  • 2 years prior technical sales experience, either in a support or territory management role – please be prepared to explain how the product or service was technical
  • A post-secondary education, ideally a Certificate in Professional Sales or Bachelors of Commerce Degree, but other education will be considered
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills – not only can you write professional emails but you can clearly explain yourself even under the pressure of a busy day
  • Superb computer skills including advanced skills in MS-Excel and MS-Outlook
  • Comfortable with technology, you can troubleshoot basic user issues such as inability to print or connect to wifi
  • You are more focussed on your team’s success than your own personal achievements and your attitude and willingness to help reflect that
  • Any sales experience in the capital goods industry is considered an asset

Machinist Apprentice

Aspen Custom Trailers is looking for a Machinist Apprentice to join the Machine Shop team at their production facility in Leduc, Alberta. The Machine Shop team is responsible for making many of the parts used to build Aspen’s trailers. If you’re a 1st or 2nd year Machinist Apprentice, we’re interested in hearing from you.

The ideal candidate has experience setting up and operating a variety of common machine shop machines, including both manual and CNC lathes, and has an eye for detail. You must be able to follow both written and verbal instructions, read drawings, measure and perform calculations with precision and move material around safely. A strong work ethic, excellent attendance and meticulous organization are critical to your success.

Trailer Mechanic, Team Leader (Afternoon Shift)

Aspen Custom Trailers is looking for a Afternoon Shift Team Lead Trailer Mechanic to join our Trailer Completions team at our production facility in Leduc, Alberta. The Trailer Completions team is responsible for putting the finishing touches on Aspen’s heavy haul trailers. This includes installing and testing the air, electrical and hydraulics systems, installing decking, ensuring Transport Canada compliance,  and getting the trailer ready for delivery to our customers. If you’re a certified Transport Trailer Mechanic or Heavy Equipment Technician with previous leadership experience, this is a great opportunity for you.

The ideal candidate has two or more years working with trailers. You need to be able to follow both written and verbal instructions, have a strong work ethic, be meticulously organized and quick to learn new skills. Technical Sales Rep – Heavy Haul Trailers

Are you an experienced territory sales rep with a mechanical background? This may be the job for you!

Aspen Custom Trailers is seeking a Technical Sales Representative to support existing and new clients in parts of Western Canada. You will be selling our line of heavy haul trailers and transporters to clients across all industries including specialized transportation, forestry, mining, construction, oil and gas.

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining client relationships in your territory. You will work closely with Aspen’s Sales Engineering team to quote on new sales opportunities. You will gather market intelligence and report activity from your territory on a weekly basis. Your performance will be measured by monthly sales targets. Your time will be split between working at our production facility in Leduc, Alberta and travelling in your territory, approximately 50% travel is required. Technical Sales Reps need a vehicle and valid driver’s license.

We’re looking for someone with at least 5 years of direct business to business territory sales experience. Ideally, you have technical and custom selling experience. It goes without saying, your professional presentation, communication skills and computer skills are top notch. Our sales team is compensated with a base salary plus commission program, a vehicle allowance, smart phone, laptop and benefits.
